On the Move

Well, I've been on the move the past week and so has the baby. During a business trip to Florida last week, I was on my feet walking quite a bit and it was almost scary how much I didn't feel the baby move. I guess it is so used to me sitting down that it appreciated the moving and rocking of over 8,000 steps (according to my pedometer) on a tradeshow floor. However, on the flight home, it reassured me that all was well inside. Apparently the gymnasium it has made of my tummy was reopened during take off. He or she did great with a 6 hour drive to Missouri but was not pleased for me to sit still for too long at the cattle show. That was fine, because it was hot and that reminded me to get up and stay hydrated via strict orders from the "hydration officer" aka John.

When he/she does decide to be active, we can now see it kick if we are watching closely. John and I both watched my tummy jump a few nights ago, while I was trying to finish an online exam for class.

The baby also graced me with true discomfort on Monday night, after we went to a cookout at a friend's house. I spread myself out on the living room floor in an attempt to feel better, and the worst part was that I couldn't explain how I really felt or why. I just know I didn't feel good. I may have overate but it felt worse than that.

I'm off to the doctor again today. It's hard to believe that we are starting the sixth month.
