Visits and more
Last weekend, Grandma and Grandpa Todd visited. It was really special to have them at our house for a few days to interact with Jeremiah, get to see his antics and give him a few extra snuggles. On Saturday we all drove to St. Louis to spend some time with Great Grandma Todd. This was the first time that she had met Jeremiah. He was a hoot - playing with her, entertaining other residents of the nursing home, and generally being a good boy. Side note - we stopped at Subway for lunch and he tried to con a lady at the booth behind us out of some chips. I think she would have given them to him if we wouldn't have said no. What a mooch!
On Monday night, John had to work and I went to the annual county Farm Bureau meeting so Grandma (who was staying in town for business) and Jeremiah had time to themselves. From what we hear, he was good.
As Grandma learned, Jeremiah is becoming very response to us telling him that it is time to do something. If we even mention dinner, he's headed to the bedroom to get a bib and wants in his chair. Similar "johnny on the spot" reactions come with the mention of teeth brushing, putting on his coat, a bath, and, honestly, even night-night. So, we're starting to learn to spell things out or be darn ready to do it if we say it in his ear shot.
One of his favorite activities right now is taking things in and out of somewhere. For example, he likes to unpack his farm blocks from the bag and put them in the ceramic crock that we have in the living room. This process goes the opposite direction as well. He can occupy himself for quite some time with this game.

It always makes me smile to see four generations in one picture...That's great! I wonder if J will still be johnny-on-the-spot when it's time to get out of bed to go to school... :)Hehee!
