Christmas celebrations
We started our Christmas 2010 celebrations with the Schnitzler side of the family. Jeremiah and mommy joined some of the other cousins for sledding in Papa's pasture. It's fun going down but it is a LONG walk back up. Mommy had intentions of just going as the truck driver and then spectating, but she quickly found herself on a sled with Jeremiah on her back. The hill was well packed and the sled was moving. It even made mommy a little nervous to the point of deciding to drag her feet to slow down! On Christmas eve day, we enjoyed a nice lunch and gift opening, complete with Maama's discussion of the meaning of Christmas and hanging the family Christmas balls on the tree.

They both received robes from Grandma Todd too. Andrew was modeling his after a bath at home.

G&G Schnitzler stopped over in Lena that evening to see what the boys received and to spend some with us. On the 26th, we traveled to Chadwick to help Branden and Sheila demo part of their house for remodeling. That evening, we enjoyed dinner together at Seiverts in Mt. Carroll. The 27th brought time for outdoor fun. Cousin Karl joined us at Lake Le Aqua Na for some wicked sledding! Jeremiah accidently flew off of a manmade snow jump. Luckily he was holidng on to his sled tight. I believe his quote was "Whoa, I flew all the way up to God!"

Here is Andrew putting his ball on the tree.
That afternoon we headed for Lena, where we joined Carrie and her friend John for service at the Methodist church. Then, we headed to G&G Todd's for Christmas eve dinner. It was quickly time to put out cookies and milk for Santa (and don't forget carrots for the reindeer, read the Christmas story from the Bible, and scuttle off to bed. And the next morning brought gifts and treats galor! Santa brought Andrew a grocery cart. He brought Jeremiah a Cars lego set. Both boys also received cases for their Matchbox cars. I'm calling these next two photos the typical Christmas morning shots that they will both not enjoy some day. Jeremiah is sporting 3 different visors brought by Santa to various family members.
Aunt Carrie gave both boys lobster hats from Boston.
Below - Andrew got all bundled up to....sleep in the truck!
