Easter, etc.

Last week brought fun and adventure for Jeremiah. It all started with Aunt Ann coming for a visit on Palm Sunday weekend. They had fun while Daddy and Mommy went to a wedding. We appreciate Ann coming to stay with him.
Shelly was on vacation so he packed his bags and headed for northern Illinois to spend some time with both sets of grandparents. My parents picked him up on Sunday on a grand circle they made around central IL. He stayed with them for a few days and his adventures included an international 4-H potluck, a trip to papa's doctor that he is STILL talking about, and, of course, feeding the cows and sheep. I've heard they were also some great days spent with his cousins and aunts. He also spent a night with G&G Todd. They treated him to Happy Joe's for pizza AND games, which resulted in the possession of a whoopie cushion that he thihks is hilarious. NOTE - it stayed at their house! They also enjoyed some time at the playgrounds close to where Grandpa walks.

I was traveling in Wisconsin so I picked him up on Thursday night at their house and went back to the farm. On Friday, we made sweet rolls with Mama. He helped with the kneading and rolling of the dough. That afternoon, more cousins and aunts arrived for a little egg hunt and dyeing Easter eggs for Mama. He was also sure to enjoy the birthday party fun that evening. However, he didn't understand why he wasn't getting a card or gift when nearly everyone else was. (all those spring birthdays)
On Saturday, he enjoyed an egg hunt in Winslow. Great-grandma was able to watch from a car parked near the park. It was a very nice event, complete with cookies, juice and prizes for all. Karl and his mommy also joined us for the fun. Then, we went back to G&G Todd's for egg coloring.
He was a little more on board with the whole bunny thing this year. He delighted in finding the eggs first thing in the morning and checking out the stuff in his basket. Then, we enjoyed breakfast at the Derinda church before service. Here's a "decent" looking family on Easter morning. He ate like a champ, which may explain why he didn't have much for lunch that day. He sat nicely for children's sermon and, as usual, was Mr. Social during passing of the peace. We were then headed back to the G&G Todd's, where we had lunch and he delighted in yet another egg hunt in the backyard at their house. That bunny hid coins in the eggs and he very carefully cracked each one and took out the loot. Unfortunately, we didn't get video of this, but we think Grandma may have some. Then, it was time to head for home after a long week for Jeremiah. He crashed out not far from Lena and slept until just a few miles from home.
This week brought a few more adventures, including an evening with Daddy's friend Nikki. I had a last minute sitter cancel because of a rescheduled softball game and Nikki was so gracious to let me drop Jeremiah off at her house while I went to a meeting. She has a laptop so they were set for the night and I now think she has been debriefed of all the latest Disney and PBS cartoons. THANKS NIKKI! For some reason, Jeremiah has been saying who his "night time stickers" belong to when we go through them each night. Nikki has been on the list since he spent time with her. Must have made a good impression.
We've enjoyed being outside with nice weather the last two evenings and we're hoping for some more outside fun this weekend.
