Wrapping up the year!

As we departed Jo Daviess county, we were able to join Stef for a quick lunch. We are so glad she is patient with our boys!! From there, we headed farther west to visit our friends, the Byrds, in Tipton. Mom and Dad went to the Illinois vs. Iowa basketball game, while the boys played with Ashley and Cheyenne.

We enjoyed spending the night there and the boys had the opportunity to play with some of their daycare friends. It was like they never left! From there we headed back to Fisher. We have to say a HUGE thank you to G&G Todd who gave the boys a car DVD player for Christmas. They were quite occupied during our drives!

We arrived home on December 30 and our cupboards and fridge were bare. We grabbed groceries the next morning, started to unpack our Christmas loot and then headed to the Rademaker's for an early evening New Year's Eve gathering with them and the Mitchells. We rang in the actual new year at home with both boys asleep (and actually Mom and Dad cheated by celebrating on eastern time).

New Year's day for us meant parades, football, lots of indoor soccer and bowling (which Jeremiah received for Christmas), and wearing pajamas most of the day! What a great relaxing way to start the year!
