Wedding, Graduation, and Great-Grandma!

Memorial Day weekend brought many miles in the car for the boys, but the activities at each stop were worth it. Here's the daily rundown of our holiday weekend.

Friday
It was actually a quiet night at home, as we prepped for being on the road the rest of the weekend.

Saturday
Andrew made a trip to the doctor with daddy because he was still running a high fever after getting shots on Wednesday. The doctor suggested that he might have a virus that just happened to time with his shots.
Jeremiah played his last soccer game of the year.
We treated the boys to McDonald's and then headed for our hotel in Bloomington, where we relaxed a bit before heading to a wedding of Mom's cousin, Angela. Andrew still wasn't feeling so hot so didn't enjoy the activities as much as we had hoped. However, Jeremiah loved dancing and playing with Karl and the numerous other extended cousins. This was a very kid-friendly wedding with a kids' activity table where Jeremiah made a picture frame and delighted in glow sticks. The best glow stick fun was watching Jeremiah and Karl try to put them on their ears after watching their uncle Roger put one on his glasses.
Mommy's highlight from this night was Jeremiah turning to me to ask me to dance while we were sitting watching the dance. It was priceless....until he left Aunt Sheila and I standing on the dance floor.
Sunday
We enjoyed some time in the hotel pool.
SPECIAL NOTE - Andrew actually played in the water! It was the hot tub, but it counts!
We made our way to Tipton Iowa to visit with some very special people and congratulate Ashley on her graduation! Jeremiah loved playing with his Tipton friends.
That night we stayed with G&G Schnitzler.
Monday
Jeremiah made sure Grandpa didn't leave for chores without him. It's so great to see him wanting to go to the barn!
We made our way to Lena to spend time with Great-grandma. G&G Todd made a great summer-time lunch for us all.
