Elizabeth Fair Fun!

We made our way to Elizabeth in mid-July to enjoy the Elizabeth Fair. Our boys did a great job traveling, and we made it to Maama and Papa's before it was dark.
We were up early to head to the fairgrounds for breakfast and the beef show. Andrew jumped right in to help his cousins getting their heifers ready for the show. While helping out, Kelley offered Andrew the chance to head in to the showring with her. He was game! What a surprise.....He was even eager to help Logan oil out heifers after the show.
After the heifer show, we watched the parade. It's always fun to see people that Mommy and Daddy grew up with in the parade.
After lunch, it was time to enjoy the Kiddie Tractor pull. Andrew won first place in his age division. Jeremiah is quick to point out that there were only two people in his age division. Regardless, he is pretty proud of his trophy. We played a quick game of putt-putt with cousin Karl, and played in the bounce houses.
After a rest/nap at Grandma's, we headed back to the fairgrounds for more bounce house fun, watching cousins and uncle Larry pull in the tractor pull and yummy food.
Sunday brought some special time with family, doing farm chores and playing. Karl was able to stay at Maama and Papa's house so the boys had time together.
The weekend went by quickly but we were glad to be there!
