Weekly appointments start

Beginning yesterday I am making weekly visits to the doctor from now until whenever Baby Todd decides to make his or her entrance. Yesterday was somewhat exciting because I learned a little more about where and how the baby is situated and that things have started to progress.

I am 1 cm. dilated and 80% effaced. However, this is not reason for concern or excitement. I could hang out like this for quite some time. I also learned that this little one's head is off to the side of my pelvis so hopefully we can get that rectified before he/she drops anymore. So, I'll be getting friendly with the exercise ball and doing some other exercises to try to get the baby to move on its own.

Our bags are now at least partially packed and I'm feeling like the room is somewhat presentable to bring a baby home to. However, we still have not purchased a mattress. I really need to get on that this weekend.
