Happy First Easter!
Jeremiah had quite the whirlwind of activities during Easter weekend. He traveled like a champ again. In fact, even after he did wake up from sleeping most of the trip he was content. I was the one who decided we should probably pull over to feed him since it was nearly noon and he had last eaten at 7 a.m. After a quick snack we were back on the road for about 45 more minutes before arriving at Grandma and Grandpa Todd's house.
On Friday, we all spend time with Grandma and Grandpa Todd, Aunt Carrie and Uncle Matt. Uncle Matt is teaching Jeremiah to use the remote control. Fabulous! They all got a kick out of watching him splash all over the bathtub. (There has been a recent resurgence in his extreme splashing!) Grandpa Todd held Jeremiah while he ate his dinner and we managed not to get any bananas or sweet potatoes on him.
We ventured out Saturday morning to pick up Jeremiah's cousin Karl and Aunt Leisa to go visit the Easter bunny. Luckily they decided to move the Easter bunny inside for pictures and then we stayed inside to watch his older cousins and some other children hunt the Easter eggs outside in the grass.
Then, we were off to Grandma and Grandpa Schnitzler's house. He "played" with Karl for a while and managed to spit up all over his cousin Isabella. Karl and Jeremiah shared toys, pacifiers and plenty of slobber. We enjoyed time with more cousins and aunts and uncles too. That evening, he stayed with Grandpa while some of the rest of us went to grab a bite to eat. Grandpa fed him and snuggled him.
Easter began with church breakfast and services with the Schnitzler family. Many of Grandma and Grandpa's church friends were impressed at how well he behaved during church. However, he managed to find the quietest moment to let out a big ol' burp! The Easter bunny was good to Jeremiah. He got a haul - including books, a stuffed bunny, pacifiers, stacking cups and more!
After a great lunch with the Todd family and a little nap (for us all), it was time to head back. Jeremiah ate around 4 and then we loaded in the car. He made it to Bloomington before he decided we needed to stop to feed him.
The sitter said Jeremiah didn't want to be put down on Monday. Gee, I can't imagine why that might be.
