A trip to central IL

Last weekend we made a trip to the Champaign area to visit with friends and introduce Andrew to some people that were anxious to see him. John also ventured out to a chilly Illini game, while the boys and I stayed warm and cozy at Amy and Ryan's house with friends Krista and Claire.

Because John's office Christmas party was Friday night, so we ventured out early Saturday morning. We put the boys in the car in their jammies and as we pulled out of the driveway, Jeremiah noted that "IT IS STILL DARK OUT!" However, apparently that didn't signal to him to go back to sleep. Both of them were very good travelers, even making our trip stop-free on the way home. That's pretty good for a guy who was only 5 weeks old.

On Saturday, our friends J,B, and EFG, came to visit us at Amy's house. It was fun for Jeremiah and EFG to get to play together and wonderful to see them.

We also visited Jeremiah's old sitter, Shelly. He liked playing at her house for a bit and she snuggled Andrew. A trip wouldn't have been complete without attending church at Good Shepherd and introducing our new guy to so many great people.

Finally, we were brave enough to include family pictures in this trip. I wanted to have our pictures taken by a friend, Amanda. She did a great job and thankfully, everyone was agreeable for the pics.

Admittedly, I did a crummy job at taking pictures this weekend, so they are sparse.
