Christmas Recap
Things got a little more interesting when the lights went out at about 4 a.m. on Christmas eve. This is the second time we have changed a small baby by the light of a flashlight because of an ice storm. A tree limb had some down in town and we were without electricity for about 7 hours. It was hard to explain to Jeremiah all the things he couldn't do with no power - no music, no computer, no T.V. However, he displayed his alphabet game skills.
We enjoyed going to Christmas eve service at 4:30 - perfect for people with small kids and no farm chores! Then, we gathered with all the Todd's for a wonderful meal, followed by some games and relaxation.Christmas morning brought the excitement of Santa's surprises (a tent for Jeremiah and a rocking chair for Andrew), along with many other gifts! However, we do find it interesting that Jeremiah was the last one to wake up. Andrew brought laughter to the entire group as he let out a BIG toot in the midst of quiet gift opening!
Trying out the tunnel from Santa!
That afternoon G&G Schnitzler arrived for some fun and the longest Uno game ever! Jeremiah likes playing but isn't always on board with Grandma Todd's (his assistant) strategy.
We headed for the Schnitzler side on Saturday the 26th, where Andrew received his Christmas ball. Jeremiah put both his and Andrew's carefully on the tree. After a wonderful meal and gifts, the kids and the dads headed out for nearly 2 hours of sledding. Jeremiah didn't want to come in, even when they were done. Then, it was time for more fun games, including Jeremiah's introduction to Uno Moo! After "skunking" Aunt Karen several times, he has now become quite the Uno Moo expert!Snuggling with Becca
