Jeremiah - an adventurous month

Well, February proved to be a bit of a roller coaster ride for Jeremiah. After taking the great pictures with his brother, he came down with the stomach flu the next night. It was pretty scary for him and the worst we think he has ever been. Mommy slept on the floor with him (if we can call that sleeping) and Daddy stayed home from work to take care of him the next day. By Thursday he was back on his feet, which was good because we were headed to Playhouse Disney on Friday in Dubuque. (As a side note, Mom and Dad did both eventually fall victim as well.)

Jeremiah was very quiet at first, but we think he may have been just a bit overwhelmed. However, it didn't take too long to start singing and dancing along to the show. He was happy to tell Grandma and Grandpa about Mickey Mouse, the Einsteins, Tigger and Pooh, and Handy Manny when we got back to the hotel. He's still talking about getting to use the pool the next morning!

That afternoon brought one of my favorite recent quotes from him. During halftime of the Illinois game I was flipping around between channels. He looked at me and in a very grown-up voice said, "Would you just pick something and leave it there!" I will remind him of this someday when he's a remote hog!

His latest statement is "I don't care." However, he doesn't really use it right. We're doing our best to explain that it means that someone is OK with either option presented. I think he is using it more as an expression when he doesn't want either option.

On Monday, he took part in a Sneetch Beach Party at the library to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday. It was a fun activity and a good place for him to interact with some other kids.
