We spent the weekend up north visiting grandparents, other family and friends this past weekend. The boys and Mommy picked up Daddy at work to head out on Friday night. Then, we stopped for dinner and to say hello to G&G Todd for a bit. As usual, Andrew was SO EXCITED to spend time with their dog. Jeremiah considers the dog one of his best friends???
On Saturday, the boys went to cousin Dylan's basketball game, while Daddy helped Grandpa S. with a house project and Mommy enjoyed a girls' day in Galena with friend's Heidi and Stefanie. Random note - on Friday night in the truck Jeremiah was talking about his favorite friends and buddies. He noted that Mommy was his favorite, even more than Stefanie. We think that means Stefanie ranks pretty high! : )
Saturday evening, we all enjoyed a trip to Happy Joe's for dinner with G&G Schnitzler, Aunt Karen and Devin. Both the boys played games while we waited on our food. Andrew and Papa rolled balls, which required ball retrieval a few times. Jeremiah played several other games, including ski ball.
On Sunday after church, we headed towards Lena, where we watched some football, had some yummy lunch and then enjoyed parts of Lena Winterfest. G&G Todd, Uncle Matt, Caitlin, Mommy, Daddy, Andrew and Jeremiah went for a horse-drawn sleigh ride and also met a dog sled team.
Our view from the sleigh (that's Matt & Caitlin in the front)
We headed out around dark and stopped for a nice dinner. Jeremiah was delighted that he could get breakfast for dinner where we stopped! Now, we are nervous that this will be the regular request when we are traveling up I-39.
Mommy and Daddy were both off work today so we had fun at home!
