Christmas - part 1

Boys on Christmas eve
Christmas was a bit different for us this year. For the first time ever, we stayed in our own home for Christmas eve. Mommy and Daddy cooked a nice dinner, even with some help from the boys. We went to family church service at 5 p.m., had dinner, and then prepped for Santa's arrival.

Before all that, however, Levi and Mommy made a run to the pediatrician on Christmas eve morning to confirm that he had an ear infection. The older boys and daddy made a Christmas delivery to Kent and Marilyn Tucker.

The boys woke up about 6:30 on Christmas morning. They were not as eager to get in to the presents as we thought they might be but they were ready to go as soon as we told them they could. Santa brought Levi a Little People Disney World. He left a basketball hoop for the older boys and also brought them slippers and sports slides. He also brought new Lego sets.

Gift opening was a swift event. Andrew's highlight was a fart gun. Jeremiah was astonished at receiving a Nerf Mega-thunderbow. Levi delighted in his new Elmo to snuggle. They also found out we will be going to Disney World in June.

After gifts, the boys enjoyed breakfast while Mommy and Daddy loaded up the van to go to Grandma Todd's house. It was fun for them to travel in their pajamas. We arrived there a little after noon and then had fun with aunts, uncles and cousin Kinsley. We played games (Twister, Rush Zone, 20 questions, Clue and more), ate yummy food, and opened more gifts. They were quick to open new Legos. We'll have quite an entertaining 2015 with a year pass to the Brookfield Zoo, tickets to Frozen on Ice and an outing to the Shedd Aquarium included in gifts they received.

Andrew's fart gun was a big form of entertainment and he was once heard to say, "Hands up or I'll fart you!"

The day after Christmas, we ventured to Red Oak and Cedarville to look at special light displays. It was extra special to share this with Grandma, Grandpa, Caitlin, Matt & Carrie.
