A busy guy
Jeremiah has had a very busy week, complete with shots, house guests and outings.
Today we enjoyed my first mothers' day with brunch on the lawn of the Allerton mansion and then strolling through the gardens. Jeremiah and dad also sprung for flowers for my flower beds. We let him lay on a blanket in the lawn while we planted the flowers. He was so funny feeling the grass and being curious. The whole neighborhood had to hear him squealing.
On Tuesday night he traveled with some of my family to surprise Grandma Schnitzler as she received the Postmaster of the Year award in Effingham. He danced with a variety of Grandma's friends and giggled hysterically at cousin Isabella. Wednesday was his doctor's appointment. I don't mean to misrepresent his tough-guy image. He only let out a little cry and was fine by the time the nurse left the room. He did, however, give her the "what the heck was that for" eyebrow.
On Friday night, he got snuggles from a group of our friends but was asleep when we got home so Grandma and Aunt Carrie had to wait until Saturday morning. That was fine, because they watched him for quite a while on Saturday while we went to my work to do some graduation-related tasks. Aunt Carrie is going to Spain for a couple months so she needed to fill up on hugs and play time.
Here's a great picture John snapped of us on my first mothers' day.

That picture is adorable! Great photography, John! By the way, Jeremiah's aim was the topic of conversation several times this weekend. The boys must have been very impressed with his attempt to get in a girls shirt at such a young age! :)
