A little fun in Illini Country

This past weekend we made a trip to visit some of our favorite people in Illini country. The boys traveled really well on Friday evening and settled in pretty good at Ryan and Amy's house.

After Jeremiah's favorite breakfast of chocolate chip pancakes (Amy earned points for those!), we met Shelly (Jeremiah's old sitter), Keith and their girls for a little fun play at the McDonald's. It was a perfect place for a rainy day date! Jeremiah ran so hard he was sweating buckets. Andrew took a liking to Rachel, mostly because she fed him.

We did some shopping in CU, took in some yummys from our favorite Mexican restaurant, and then returned to Ryan and Amy's. Jeremiah enjoyed "helping" his dad and Ryan work in the bonus room. I think most of his helping was done sitting on a bucket watching. The Kuipers joined the fun before dinner. The boys enjoyed time playing with Claire.

Here is our attempt at a picture of the kids. Andrew was already asleep, although he woke up after this and snuggled with Ryan for a while before going to bed.

On Sunday, we visited our friends at Good Shepherd Lutheran. Both boys were well behaved in church. Jeremiah gave Pastor Donna a big ole' high five! After church, we spent some time with the Gannings. Jeremiah played with Elliot and Andrew got some snuggles from Joanna and Brendan.

Both boys were quickly napping when we hit the road and traveled well again! Jeremiah topped off the weekend with his dance class and then we all settled in to relax on Sunday night.

Editor's note - We stayed with Amy and Ryan most of the weekend and I just realized that I failed to get a single picture with them! I'll do better next time.
