The Lake!!!

The title to this post doesn't have quite the same impact as when you hear Aunt Carrie, Jeremiah and Andrew say it in unison with arms raised as you drive the last few miles to arrive at Long Lake!

We arrived at the cabin that G&G Todd rent early evening on July 4. Jeremiah took a dip in the lake with Grandma Todd soon after our arrival. After a yummy dinner we headed out on the lake to watch the fireworks.

Jeremiah dipped his fishing pole in the water for the first time on Tuesday morning. Throughout the week, he was able to catch several fish but none that were big enough to keep. He had the most luck worm fishing.

Tuesday afternoon, we re-introduced Andrew to the lake. A strong desire to be with Grandpa Todd made him willing to venture further out in to the water at the sand bar. Although playing in the water and sand is fun, the boys may have found the most enjoyment at the sand bar to be partaking of the snacks.

Both boys loved using the slide at the swim area. Jeremiah got brave enough to use the big slide without being caught (with his life preserver safely secured on him).

Andrew enjoyed rising early some mornings to watch the bunnies, chipmunks and ducks scurry around the cabin and lake with Grandpa.

They also both enjoyed hours spent in the sand area and playing with Aunt Carrie, Grandma, Grandpa, John H., Uncle Matt and Aunt Caitlin. We're so thankful they helped to entertain them!
