Cribs and sitters

Jeremiah is officially in his own room. This morning, I took down the Pack and Play bassinet that was in our room. He has been in the crib in his own room for three nights now so we figure he is good to go. He even managed to sleep for seven hours Sunday night. It was a little hard on me the first night. I guess it is the first signal of many that he won't be the little thing we brought home from the hospital very long at all.

He's also experienced the milestone of his first babysitters. On Friday, Grandpa Todd and Uncle Matt watched him while John went to work and I went on a museum outing in Chicago. He behaved great - actually he slept most of the day. I think they were a bit disappointed that he wasn't more awake to play with. Then, on New Year's Eve, he spent some time with Sandy and the Reasor girls. We think he had a great time with them before we picked him up for a few more New Year's festivities - including waking up for a snack just after the ball dropped in Times Square.

Tomorrow he'll have a practice run at the full-time babysitter's house. We'll let you all know how that goes.
