Catching up

Here's a quick catch up of Jeremiah's last couple of weeks. We welcomed G&G Schnitzler to our house on the weekend of May 16. They came to see Mommy graduate with her master's degree. Jeremiah did very well at the ceremony, considering he ended up sitting there for nearly 3 hours. Unfortunately, we're also working on potty training and he announced not too long before I was to get my diploma that he had to go potty. His daddy took him and they missed me crossing the stage. The good news is he went potty and I was excited about that!

Last Monday he went for a quick stop at the pediatricians. He has some lymph nodes around the crease of his leg that I wanted to have checked and also wanted another check of his little hernia. All seemed OK. We weren't able to do his bloodwork to check his iron that day because he had a little cold and the doc told us it probably wouldn't be accurate. The rest of the week was the general fun of enjoying summer arriving, going to the park, playing at Shelly's, etc.

On Friday afternoon we headed for Tipton to see Daddy. On Saturday we took Jeremiah to the park in Tipton and then drove to G&G Schnitzler's house. He had a great time at a birthday party for Kyle and Karl and was so excited to have cake! On Sunday he enjoyed playing with Kelley. They chased each other on the deck, blew bubbles and had a snack together. She also read him some books. Then, it was off to G&G Todd's house, where we made a trip for ice cream at the drive-in. On Monday, he helped Great-Grandma Z. put flowers out at the cemetery and was especially helpful with watering them.

Tuesday, he had a great time playing with some of the daycare kids that stay at Aunt Sandra's. He was also really excited that she got him chicken and fries for dinner. Then, we were happy to see our own beds last night and he was back at his usual fun today, including spinning so much with one of the other little girls that he proceeded to then sit down and throw up. Yep, he's my kid!! No teacups for him, either!

  • Congrats on your degree. I love the blue robes, back in my day they were black which is kind of boring. The whole "potty/diploma" isssue... good attitude, Mom!
