Dealing with Changes

The move from Fisher to Tipton has definitely had its effects on Jeremiah. Week 1 was pretty rough. He was asking for Ally, who is temporarily living with G&G Schnitzler because we can't have pets in the rental. It helped a little to visit her last weekend. I think both Mommy and Jeremiah miss his daycare. It's a big adjustment for Mommy to take a tearful child to daycare, as opposed to one who gleefully headed for Shelly's door with a "See ya later, Mom!" However, he does seem to be doing better at the sitters in week 2, but I can still see differences in him.

He's done a few fun things, like pretending to have a campout in the backyard, and various art projects.

He doesn't seem to quite understand that we live here now. He keeps asking to go home to our house in Fisher. We'll continue to work on it and perhaps a visit back to an empty house will help him process this change.

Mom went away for business last week for one night and another one night trip this week. It's been good for Jeremiah and Daddy to have some special one-on-one time together.

There are also changes in Mommy. Baby #2 continues to grow and we look forward to meeting our new doctor this week. Stay tuned for an update.
