Babe, Beach & Bears!

The past week in Jeremiah's life has involved meeting his new little friend Claire K., visiting the beach at Lake Michigan, and seeing bears (and many other animals) at a small zoo on father's day.

On Tuesday, we made the drive to the Kuipers Ranch to meet little Miss Claire, his future college roommate, or at least a good friend for life! He thought she was cute but was still wondering if Bubba was in Krista's belly. He's not quite connecting that Claire IS Bubba.

On Friday, we headed to a rental house just across the Michigan border to gather with some special friends. Jeremiah had 2 little friends - Sydney and Emily - that he like playing with while we enjoyed seeing their parents. On Saturday, we all went to the beach and had a fun morning of playing in the sand. I was being a slacker mom and forgot to take the camera to the beach but I took plenty on CK's camera. I'll share at a later date.

On Sunday, we found a little mid-sized zoo in Michigan City and enjoyed seeing the animals and spending time as a family. We headed for home (Jeremiah was ready) and Daddy went back to Iowa. We topped off a great summer weekend by sharing an ice cream sandwich on the front steps!
