Hanging with the grandparents

Last week I was in California so Jeremiah made some really great memories with both sets of grandparents.

On Saturday, Daddy took him to a minor league baseball game and G&G Todd and uncle Matt met them at the ballpark. I think he had a great time and is still mentioning little things from the game. Through a variety of learning lines, he can now also sing portions of Take Me Out to the Ballgame.

On Sunday, he celebrated Grandpa Todd's birthday, played at their house and had a visit from great-grandma Z. On Monday, Grandma S. picked him up and he was off to his first night of bible school at their church. He seemed to actually pick up a few things, highlighted by the songs he is still singing. Tonight (while using the potty) he was telling me about John the baptist and Jonah and the whale. It was certainly interested potty talk for a 2 1/2 year old.

Time at G&G S's house also meant time with the cows, playing with cousins and generally tiring the two of them out. I joined him late on Wednesday night and we enjoyed more of the same fun. Daddy came over on Friday night. Unfortunately, it rained on Friday night and Saturday so our options for entertainment that day were a little more limited. He hung out with Uncle Boot, Aunt Karen, Kelley and Devin at their house on Saturday night while we went on a date for our 6th anniversary. He participated in the bible school program on Sunday morning.

I really think he was ready to come home yesterday. He was headed for the car before we even had the bags in. He had a GREAT day at Shelly's today - including staying dry all day long, even while they were out and about!

Sorry! No pictures from the week. I was slacking on the picture taking!

  • Eric & I got to see J & J Todd at the Bandits game. Jeremiah looked like he was having a great time. He was excited to have the Todd family there, and he was very proud to announce that he needed to cut our visit short so he could use the restroom... he is really growing up so much. He was totally intrigued, yet slightly freaked out by the mascot Rascal... heck the 3 foot racoon head kind of freaks me out a bit too.
