Dr. Aunt Ann
Last week started on a rough note as the sitter called around 9 a.m. Monday morning to share that Jeremiah was sick. He loafed around for most of the rest of the morning our bed, had a little lunch, played quietly and then took a nap. He was very good for me to still be working from home.
Andrew has had a few challenges lately. He's not nearly as keen on being put down for naps as he used to be. He has to be really ready - almost asleep. However, this problem doesn't seem to occur at bedtime OR at the babysitters. We think we're getting played. He's become the latest fan of puffs. And, this week he's even displayed how he can pick them up and put them in his mouth. It's not a pincer grasp exactly but he's getting them where he wants them! He has also started drinking water from a sippy cup and seems to have picked up on the need to suck on it. I tested him out with a regular cup while enjoying the outdoors in the heat on Sunday and he did pretty good with that too.
The weekend brought a trip to the Chicago-area. We stayed with Sandra & Roger. On Saturday morning, Jeremiah informed uncle Roger that he had made the BIGGEST breakfast. We're not sure if this was truly based on the food or if he just isn't used to seeing so many dishes around a table. The boys stayed with R&S while we went to Aunt Ann's graduation from optometry school. Among other fun, Aunt Sandra treated them to ice cream.
Later that night we all met the Todd family for some yummy dinner and snuggles all around. CONGRATULATIONS AUNT ANN!

We're excited to finally have warm weather arrive! Jeremiah loves to play outside and even delighted in jumping in a few rain puddles in his bare feet last night. The night before Daddy sprayed him with the hose, which he thoroughly enjoyed!
