4th Fun!

Our 4th of July was a very hot and very dry one this year! Tuesday mid-day we learned that Fisher canceled the fireworks planned for that evening because of dry conditions. With the display canceled and notification that the boys tuxes for uncle Matt's wedding had arrived at the tux shop, we opted for a tux fitting and dinner out instead.
The heat continued on Independence Day with indexes reaching 110. This turned out to be a GREAT day to own a pool! We welcomed the Rademakers, Uncle Roger, Aunt Sandra and the girls; and the Kuipers later in the day. We took a quick dip before lunch and then return to the pool from about 2:30 p.m. to nearly 7:30 p.m. Then, we ordered pizza. We never did manage to get to live fireworks but watched some on TV. And we had fun with some glow sticks!
This 4th will be special in our memories because it was the first time Jeremiah and Andrew got to meet their new friend Kelson Kuipers. Jeremiah knew who he was right away. Andrew wasn't so sure about having a baby in the house.
The boys helped mom make a batch of cookies on Thursday, including one big one for daddy that we put candles in.
