More puffs, please!

It's been a busy week at our house and we've once again illustrated that Jeremiah is portable. He made nightly trips to pick up cousin Logan at basketball camp. My plan was to put him in his pajamas and let him fall asleep during the car drive. He had other ideas and didn't go to bed until we came home each night (after 9:30 p.m.).

However, this little trick must have eventually caught up to him because he took three lengthy naps yesterday. This was a good thing for two parents who were both trying to get some studying done. Last night after supper we all went for a walk because we were stuck in the house during an otherwise rainy weekend.

He's getting pretty good at his pincer grasp, putting puffs and now Cheerios into his mouth with rather accurate aim. Cousin Rebecca fed him an undetermined amount of apple puffs while he waited for his lunch yesterday. If you put them in front of him, he'll eat them. He's good enough that I even offered them to him in church yesterday, only to be drooled on while he ate them.

Ah, church. Now that's another topic. I think we need to learn to sit closer to the back so there are fewer people to make faces at Jeremiah. He is quite entertained by a variety of people. For the most part, he is pretty well behaved but he gets VERY energetic during church and gets excited when people wave, make faces and otherwise stimulate him.

We leave for vacation in a little over a week so we've been practicing putting his life jacket on him. He looks like a little stuffed sausage but we hope this will get him used to the jacket enough to ride on the boat for, at least, a little while. We're definitely looking forward to vacation and hopefully he'll enjoy spending a full week with us too.

  • I added this to my blog roll, and I think I'm all caught up on reading your posts! He just keeps getting cuter.
