Not so fun first

This weekend Jeremiah had a not-so-fun first. It was his first time being sick. He's been fighting a runny nose and slight cough all week but it was anything that we were too concerned about. Then, on Sunday after church he threw up in the church entry. (funny note - they cleaned the carpets the day before). We took him to convenient care, where he once again threw up in the waiting area. He managed to hit both of use during these two incidents. The doctor concluded that there really wasn't anything to be worried about and didn't suggest any meds. He suggested that the nausea may have been caused by drainage, but Jeremiah didn't have a fever, congestion in his chest or other symptoms to be concerned.

Needless to say, we spent a large part of Sunday afternoon snuggling. At 3 a.m. this morning, he graced us with a serenade from his crib. Apparently he was feeling better. After a short solo, he decided to go back to sleep. The sitter said she could tell he wasn't feeling normal today but he wasn't too bad. After being gone from the sitter for two weeks, I think he was excited to be back with all his big friends.

Other than a bummer Sunday, Jeremiah had a great week. He went on numerous walks and played so many games while Aunt Ann babysat. Apparently they have their own special game - silly hat, in which Ann puts anything on top of her or Jeremiah's head and he thinks it is hilarious. On Friday, we took him to the local fair here in town and Saturday brought various house and yard projects, which he supervised.

We're looking forward to this coming weekend when Jeremiah will get to spend time playing with his friends Emily and Sydney and their parents in Wisconsin.
