He gets the egg thing...
An update on the all the Easter happenings in Jeremiah's world.
Although we were a bit delayed by a winter storm warning in northern IL on Friday, we made to G&G Todd's around 4 on Friday. After a great fish fry dinner, which Jeremiah loved, we dyed Easter eggs. He loved dropping the eggs in the cups. We think he may have done this at the sitters.
On Saturday, we went egg hunting in Hanover with cousin Karl and his mom. Jeremiah picked up 4 eggs and managed to get a prize paper in one of them. We picked out some sidewalk chalk that we look forward to using if it ever warms up. Then, we went to G&G Schnitzlers. Jeremiah played with Kelley and Devin and then took a nice afternoon nap. His cousins do a good job of wearing him out. He also spent some time at the farm with the cows and sheep. He was not a fan of the sheep. We think them running back and forth and in and out freaked him a bit. That night, he hung out with G&G while his parents went out with Stef. It was good for all of us and we are told that he was a very good boy and went to bed willingly.
On Sunday, Jeremiah awoke to a basket of goodies from the Easter bunny. The bunny brought him bubbles (he thinks they are fun), goldfish crackers, a Mickey Mouse clubhouse CD (so he can do the theme and hotdog dance anytime), and peep bunnies that we have learned turn his mouth blue (oops). He also liked playing with the grass.
We all went to breakfast at church. He ate his fair share of sausage. Grandpa makes them yummy! At church, he carefully watched a second cousin Gracie be baptized. After church we spent some time with extended Schnitzler family and had an egg hunt in the yard. He picked up many more eggs.
Then, we headed for G&G Todd's and he fell asleep on the way. When he woke up, it was time to hunt eggs again. The bunny brought him several things, including a new duck piggy bank. This was perfect because the bunny also hid eggs that had quarters in them. He had fun finding the eggs and getting the money out to put in the bank.
At around 4 we loaded up the car and hit the road. Can you believe he didn't sleep the entire way back to CU? However, he was pretty wiped out after a quick dinner and crashed. So did his parents.

That little sweater vest makes him look so grown up! I'm glad you all had a safe Easter, despite the winter conditions. Hope we can get together before too long! XO, c
