Time to catch up

Because it has been such a long time since we've written, it's time for some quick highlights of Jeremiah's recent activities and developments.

Where

  • We all ventured to Ames, Ia. for Aunt Carrie's college graduation a few weeks ago. He slept through part of the ceremony and behaved well. He got to enjoy some time in the pool and liked sharing a room with Grandma and Grandpa. Here's a picture of a great game or Carrie throwing up wrapping paper and it falling around Jeremiah. "Again" was heard several times.

  • He went to touch a truck last week at daycare and loved it!

  • He's also been social at a graduation party for one of John's friends from school.

  • This weekend we were up north and he played in Aunt Sheila & Uncle Branden's yard, with cousins at K&K's birthday parties and spent ALOT of time on the swing in G&G Todd's neighbor's yard. He also blew bubbles with Great Grandma Z. What a great weekend!
What
  • He's been pretending to nap/sleep. He pulls a blanket up over him on the couch or bed and proceeds to make a heavy breathing (AKA snoring) sound.

  • Rainy days are not fun around here because he doesn't understand why he can't go out. It's just sad, because he loves being outside so much.

  • He's saying a few more words like Uh-Oh and outside.

  • Uncle Matt was quite impressed by his recent display of "quick feet". Mommy taught him to run in place VERY quickly, prepping him for drills for high school football.

  • He finds great delight in nursery rhymes and sayings. The Itsy Bitsy Spider, Ring Around the Rosey and This little pig seem to top the list.

Latest stats - Jeremiah had his 18 month appointment on Friday. He weighed 24 lbs. 6 oz. and was 32.5 inches long.

We're so excited to see summer but he did have a hard time going to sleep tonight. We think he may have been too hot, even though he has cute little summer jammies on. It's going to be a very busy week here but Jeremiah has a hot date with Grandma T for a wedding this weekend so we hope to have pictures up early next week.
