Post 100!

This is the 100th post on Jeremiah's blog. Wow!
Here's a quick update on the last few weeks in Jeremiah's life. Given the previous posting had so much excitement and news in it, things have been a bit more routine.

Two weekends ago, we mulched trees in our yard and he was a big help. Well, at least, he was well behaved, staying in the yard with us and sharing his wagon for transport of the mulch bags. On Saturday afternoon, he enjoyed playing with his friend Zach (son of one of John's former co-workers) at a 50th birthday party. They were quite the duo. After that we all came home and took a nap. On Sunday, I allowed his first ride on the electronic quarter-suckers...err rides...at the mall. He had a great time and it was well worth my 75 cents while Daddy got a hair cut.
This past weekend Jeremiah and John had a bachelor weekend, while Mommy spent the weekend with some special friends. Jeremiah got a haircut and they played in the pool, among other activities. They even invented a new game involving putting rings on their ears!
The iron supplements were taking a toll on his appetite so our doctor allowed us to cut back to one a day and add a Carnation instant breakfast. He sucks that down and seems to be eating better again. He's delighted to see the arrival of sweet corn season and he does a great job of eating it right off the cob. More than once we have had to stop him from eating it raw while he was helping to shuck it.
In other updates, he has become a huge proponent of repetitive reading. It almost drives his parents crazy to read the same book over and over and over again. We're also learning that we can bargain with him. Last night I managed to get him to cooperate with teeth brushing by promising that we would clean his ears! Silly! Normally our negotiations involve getting more of a food he likes if he will eat a little of something else.
