Quite the weekend
Saturday brought great excitement with a trip to Krape Park in Freeport to play on the castle-like playground, climb on an old fire truck, feed the ducks and, most importantly, ride the carousel. Grandma T. packed a great picnic lunch and Great-Grandma Z. went with too! Jeremiah rode the carousel 8 or 9 times (3 for $1 and one free adult is quite the deal). He rode with Grandpa, Grandma, Mommy and Daddy! He enjoyed throwing bread to the ducks too.
He was definitely ready for a nap after all that excitement. Later that afternoon, we dropped him off for some play time with Aunt Leisa and cousin Karl. The report is that he was a good boy and was enamored with the tractors, etc. at their house. However, having two two-year-olds on your lap while you try to read a book is apparently not an easy task. Mama and Papa S. picked him up and took him to their house for the night. They were surprised to look in to the back seat upon arriving home around 10 p.m. to find him wide-awake. After a little play time he went straight to the play and go when they told him it was time for night-night.
Sunday brought church, some time at the park with my high school classmates' families and the drive back. We were all pretty tired upon returning.
We did want to let you all know that the mystery word has been identified. It is "Theresa". She is a close friend of the sitters. She also babysits and the two groups are together often. That doesn't explain why he is saying Theresa at various points throughout the day and night, but we, at least know what the word is.
