One big melon

Jeremiah had his 9-month check-up yesterday. He was 20 lbs. 5 oz., 28.5 inches long. Both of these were close to the 50th percentile. However, his big ol' head was in the 85th percentile. The doctor tells us that's for all his brain power. Otherwise, she thought his physical development was a bit ahead and expects his to walk before 12 months.

He was kind of tired yesterday after a long weekend. We jetted north on Friday to visit all his grandparents. He spent time with G&G Todd on Friday night and Saturday morning. Grandpa Todd has started feeding him animal crackers. He liked them alot but has to be watched close because he puts the whole thing in his mouth. Grandpa is also worried that Jeremiah is becoming a mommy's boy but we're doing what we can to work on that. Great Grandma Z. came to visit and they had lunch together. She seemed to be amazed at how well Jeremiah eats. We even let her take a picture with him while she was wearing her Cubs clothes. We'll have to get the picture from Grandma Todd before we can share it.

After some fun and snuggles, and some great lunch, with those grandparents. We headed for the farm and G&G Schnitzler. He fell asleep during the drive so that gave me some time to pack some boxes while he napped. Later that night, he had a great time playing with Karl, Kyle, Devin and Kelley.

On Sunday, we headed for church, where Aunt Sheila and Uncle Branden kept him occupied. We think they needed their dose of Jeremiah. We spent some time at the farm and then it was time to pack up and hit the road. We made a quick stop for some final snuggles in the Lena and then put him in the car. He crashed for quite a while. Then, we got home, had some dinner and let him burn off some energy. He was ready to be out of the car! The sitter said he was pretty tired yesterday. We're guessing it may take a few days to get back to normal.

He's been waking up around 5 a.m. wanting to be snuggled. Then, he goes back to sleep for 2 hours. We're hoping to get to the bottom of this one before we start bad habits.
