Aunt Ann's Wedding
We started the many festivities of Aunt Ann's wedding weekend with a visit to the tux shop in Dekalb. We anticipated that it might be an eventful stop because the tuxes likely wouldn't fit our boys exactly. Andrew had a little more excitement in store for us. He tripped backwards, possibly over his own feet or maybe over a magazine rack. His head went through a glass display case. Can you believe that kid didn't have a single cut, just a few slivers of glass in his hair?
After that little adventure, we were Rockford bound to get some lunch and get the boys down for a nap before rehearsal. Before leaving for the wedding, Jeremiah asked us if he was going to be the ring master? He did a great job practicing his role as ring bearer.
Saturday morning, the boys had breakfast in G&G Todd's room, and then went for a swim. After bath and some lunch, it was time to get in a nap before all the wedding excitment. John Hamre and Caitlin Rath were absolutely wonderful helping to get the boys situated and kept out of trouble at the wedding. They also helped them get down the aisle.
Jeremiah walked down the aisle proudly with the flower girl and Andrew trailed behind.
Jeremiah was such a big boy sitting with John and Caitlin so nice for the wedding. Andrew wandered between Mom, Dad, Caitlin, and Grandpa Todd. He even grabbed on to another bridesmaid for a while, likely not realizing it wasn't Mom. Andrew did have one little meltdown during pictures, but we did our best to appease that with teddy grahams!
They both enjoyed dancing and playing with cousin Karl before deciding it was time for G&G Schnitzler to take them back to the hotel around 10 p.m. Andrew was asleep before getting back and Jeremiah wasn't far behind when they got there.
We're pretty proud of out special guys for the job they did this weekend.
