Baby Names...for now

Things remain about the same this week, although the choice of regular clothes is dwindling. I don't think my summer dresses are going to see much action this year.

The variety of names that this baby is being called continues to grow. One co-worker is referring to it as Jose because I seem to have an attraction to Mexican food these days. A couple friends have suggested Big Bird (something to do with an old Full House episode) and Pat. Still others are just referring to him or her as the bean, the little peanut or simply Baby Todd.

According to my books and the e-mail listserves I'm on, I should be able to feel things "flutter" soon. I think I feel something every once in a while but then I just chalk it up to wishful thinking. I'm guessing I'll be able to feel the baby move soon enough. In the mean time, John has started talking to him/her at least a few times a day (another thing we read in a book). It probably seems strange but it is kind of cute.

15 weeks

This pregnancy is a big part of my life right now but I didn't want the readers of my regular blog to be annoyed by a whole bunch of baby-related posts. Therefore, I decided to start one just for the pregnancy and hopefully to share exciting moments and milestones after November.

I had my second appointment this week and met the doctor that we hope to have for delivery. She is great! I also heard the heartbeat- a strong 158 bpm (i think that's what she said). Honestly that was about it. Our next appointment in June will include a sonogram, which will hopefully lend to a bit more excitement.

I had another big milestone today. I broke down and wore maternity capris that my mom bought me to work. I still have some regular pants that fit but the supply is getting slim. They should make all pants with these big stretchy waistbands! Whoohoo!

My hubby took pictures of my belly again this week. We'll see if I'm brave enough to share them in the blog space. I feel like I just look fat right now.
