Spring Fever

With the weather warming up, Jeremiah has been itching to get outside to play ball, use his slide and enjoy the fresh air! Here's a quick picture of him on the playground at the park when we took a walk a few weeks ago.

He continues to earn stickers for using the potty but we're still not pushing it with him. At his sitters suggestion, we're working on teaching him to pull his pants up and down. It's kind of critical to the process. Although, it will probably be embarassing to him someday, I am excited to share that he used a public bathroom for the first time on Friday night. This was at his own request and now that we've been out again, I'm realizing that he thinks it's "cool" to go to the potty when we are at a restaurant.
His verbal antics continue to crack us up. The latest saying he has debuted while Daddy and he were having dinner one night. Jeremiah looked at him and just said, "I'm so proud of you!" Too cute! Perhaps he's heard that a few times during potty training!

He's been asking for Daddy quite a bit but he's starting to remember that he's not here when he asks about him. I wish he had a better concept of time so he knew what I meant when I said 2 more days. However, he does talk to Daddy nearly every night and we are hoping to set up Skype with web cams soon.

Being a Big Boy

Jeremiah's been busy being a big boy!

With great success sleeping in his big boy bed, his Daddy took down the crib last weekend. It's made so much more room for his toys in his room. He is very good about staying in his bed, and actually we had to wake him up most days this week because of the time change. We bought a new blanket for his bed and he celebrates getting to sleep under his "ball blanket".

He's doing a great job using the potty when we ask him to. He doesn't tell us he needs to go and we haven't spent full days working on it but he goes most mornings, sometimes during the day and before bed.

Yesterday we went for a walk and I told him that we could go to the park today with Daddy. He's getting a great memory and held us to it! He played on the playground and threw a ball with Daddy. Our walk also involved keeping an eye out for the squirrels, birds and other animals that he looked to find. We also went shopping yesterday to get some new clothes for the changing seasons!

He's also become a regular player of "Pooh Cards". Grandma S. gave him a Winnie the Pooh Memory game for Christmas and he loves playing it. He's actually pretty good at it and has beaten both his dad and I, as well as his cousin Sophia during a visit last weekend. We all enjoyed a visit from Roger, Sandra and their girls last weekend. It was fun to see Jeremiah actively playing with all three girls!
