3 month pictures

I took Andrew to get his 3 month pictures taken on Monday. He did great and Jeremiah joined him for a few shots too.

Face wounds and drool monster

It was another fun week and weekend at our house. The week was pretty normal with days at Jodi's house. Jeremiah and Mommy have been making regular trips to story time on Tuesday evenings. Andrew has been drooling all over and really likes people to rub his top gum. He chews on anything he can get to his mouth, most often his hands and sleeves.

Over the weekend, we had fun with family. On Saturday, Jeremiah went sledding with some of the Schnitzler cousins and had fun playing with Aunt Sandra and Uncle Roger's friends. In true Jeremiah fashion, he sustained a scrape to his face. Andrew got some snuggle time in with Papa Schnitzler. After Jeremiah enjoyed making Valentine's during church, we went to visit Grandma Z. Andrew was a little cranky. We think he was just dealing with a little gas. Then, we made a quick visit and it was back to Tipton so Papa, Kelley, Aunt Karen & Devin could stay with us on their way to the Iowa Beef Expo. We hear they brought home a new cow to live at the farm.

Super Fun!

The boys had a pretty fun weekend - Super Fun, in fact. On Saturday, Grandma and Grandpa Todd came over for a visit. Both of them played games with Jeremiah. Jeremiah won a rough game of Snap with Grandma, and Grandpa was a good hide and seeker. I'm unaware of the outcome of the fishing game below.
While they were here, Andrew tried out the bumbo seat for the first time. We think he really likes being up and able to look around.

Our Super Bowl festivities were a little calmer this year, since many of our regular guests now live several hours away from us. However, we still had fun as a family. We partook of some fun food and drinks. Jeremiah and I enjoyed non-alcoholic Pina Coladas and last night he asked for more "special drinks". Jeremiah and John partook of a challenging game of Candy Lane during the first half. And this is some serious snuggling occuring sometime during the second half. Both boys went to bed early that night.
Later this week, we caught both boys playing on the floor together.

Andrew - 3 months

Andrew turned 3 months old on Sunday so here's the obligatory picture. And, we're happy to report that he did sleep through the night on Monday night. Last night was not a repeat performance but doing it once is even an accomplishment in my book.
Here's another picture from earlier this month that I liked so I wanted to share. This little guy is really hard to catch smiling on film, but he does smile quite a bit.

Visiting CU

We had a great time visiting friends in the Champaign-Urbana area last weekend. We stayed with Amy and Ryan and the boys got their fill of snuggles and wrestling with them. Jeremiah thinks Ryan is just great and Ryan is nice enough to play along, reading books, playing sleep or whatever Jeremiah has in mind.
On Saturday, both boys went to stay with Shelly and her crew while we went to a banquet. From what we hear, Jeremiah was busy with many activities all evening and Andrew passed out around 7 p.m. Lucky for him, that meant that someone held him for the rest of the night! However, they must have tired him out first because even after we picked him up, he slept until 4 a.m.

Sunday, we visited Good Shepherd. Jeremiah played in the nursery for a bit and so many people were amazed at how big Andrew is getting. One family, the Meyers, particularly commented that they sat behind us and their boys watched Andrew just like they used to watch Jeremiah. After church we went to lunch with B, J & E. E and Jeremiah had various conversations and shared some toys. I think we all learned that eating out with multiple kids makes visiting more challenging.

The boys were very good for the drive home, making it possible to drive straight through while they napped. However, Andrew was ready to be out of his carseat when we arrived in Tipton.
